I try to do some plein air painting everyday. The qualities of watercolours make this easy. It took me a long time to find the right easel but now it takes me just minutes to set up outside. I work quickly and do multiple pieces in each session. I set up and usually draw first with pencil and then add paint. I leave the graphite there and consider it an important part of my work.
